After 13th March 2009, it will
no longer be possible to upgrade any 2006 based Autodesk product and so after
this date instead of being able to pay an upgrade cost, the software would have
to be bought from new all over again.
Some examples of the
implications of this are: -
AutoCAD LT2006 to LT2009 1 user
upgrade: £435 before 13th March, £980 after.
AutoCAD LT2006 to LT2009 5 user
upgrade: £1,965 before 13th March, £4,260 after.
AutoCAD 2006 to 2009 1 user
upgrade: £1,460 before
13th March, £3,150 after.
This information is taken from
an online AutoCAD reseller. You do not have to upgrade at all as your 2006
licence has no expiration date associated with it but upgrading after 13th March
2009 could prove quite costly.
Although
I do not personally sell AutoCAD software, I am very keen to advise users of the
changes that have been made in the software not least the new style screen
layout. I
provide a range of tailored training courses including upgrade sessions covering
how best to utilise the changes so that your productivity downtime is kept to a
minimum. Please
